Pre-Sales Engineer (North America)

Make DataQI click for customers

We're looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to help customers understand what DataQI can do.

DataQI helps organisations see more, know more and do more. It has tailored data platforms, assistants that turn insight into action and AI Agents that take care of the heavy lifting.

We have vertical focuses, and if you have a particular interest in Manufacturing, you'll be joining at the right time. We need someone to join our Commercial team who will work closely with sales, technical leaders and solution consultants, demonstrating the capabilities of the platform and creating a land-and-expand strategy across the US and Canada.

What the work looks like

  • Sit in early conversations with customers to conduct discovery and help them understand what's possible, where DataQI fits and how it will integrate with their existing tech stack (no need for dramatic overhauls)
  • Map their business processes to our product features, and build clear, believable stories around the impact DataQI can have
  • Tailor demos, proofs of concept and proposals to different types of customer roles: C level, Ops teams, Data leaders, and digital transformation teams
  • Be the go to person for technical detail: how DataQI connects, where it sits, how it reads and interprets data, and how its automation layer drives decisions
  • Feed customer insight back into the product and delivery teams to help shape how we evolve, package and present the platform

What you'll need

  • Experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting or product engineering, ideally for enterprise platforms or SaaS tools
  • A solid understanding of enterprise IT environments: integrations, data flows, APIs, cloud infrastructure and common business applications
  • A sharp, analytical mindset to be able to connect the dots between business need and technical solution
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas for different audiences
  • Confidence delivering technical presentations, live demos and handling in the moment questions
  • Curiosity and a bit of obsession with good product thinking: how something works, why it matters and how it could be better

Why you'll love this

  • Working on an AI solution that genuinely helps customers accomplish their goals to make money, save money, and reduce risk
  • DataQI is solving real, messy problems in smart, elegant ways, without forcing companies to change everything first
  • Having influence on how we shape customer conversations, how we build our pitch and how the product evolves
  • Being part of a team that trusts you to think critically, ask good questions and take ownership of your work

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related
  • 5+ years of experience in a dedicated technical pre-sales, solutions architect, or field engineering role
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
  • Deep, demonstrable experience with AI, ML Ops tools, RPA, CI/CD pipelines, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms, manufacturing systems and protocols, and data transformation (ETL)
  • Hands-on experience with GPU accelerated computing
  • Proficiency in enterprise data integration and security protocols
  • Proven ability to position and architect solutions involving AI/ML for industrial applications (e.g., predictive maintenance, digital twins, anomaly detection, quality inspection)

Travel & Location

Required travel up to 40% for customer meetings and regional events throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Hybrid base – Eastern U.S.

The successful candidate must reside in and be legally authorized to work from one of the states in the Eastern U.S. region (e.g., all states East of the Mississippi River).

Eligible states include: ME, VT, NH, MA, NY, PA, FL, GA, NC, IL, WI, MI, etc. (A complete list of approved states will be provided during the interview process).
